Shawn Mendes Just Promised a Collaboration with Niall Horan

There have been a lot of rumors that Shawn Mendes will be releasing a collaboration with One Direction's Niall Horan.

Well, there's some good news! Shawn Mendes said the pair WILL collaborate on a song eventually. Unfortunately, there is no timeline for it right now. 

Mendes told Entertainment Tonight that he spends time with Niall Horan.

"We are always like, 'We should write a song,' and then we're planning on writing a song -- and then we just end up hanging out," Mendes told ET.

Mendes told fans that it's better off this way. 

"If there's a friendship, then the song comes easy," he told ET. 

Shawn is currently working on his third studio album, and he'll appear as a mentor for Alicia Keys' team on the upcoming season of The Voice.
